Associate Regional Director Group Mentoring

Position: Associate Regional Director Group Mentoring

POSITION PURPOSE:

Build overall success of Group Mentoring Program by leading development of model and supporting staff in the expansion and innovation of the group mentoring concept. Coordinates and collaborates with agency staff and external school partners to ensure consistency with BBBSEMO strategy, commitments, and goals.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Regional Group Mentoring Managers:

  • Support staff in all aspects of the work
  • Meet individually with members to identify successes and challenges experienced. Create processes to track and improve employee progress.
  • Create development plans for department, as a group and as individuals. Consider the skills for individual and team develop and create pathways to learning.
  • Ensure each Group Mentoring Manager supports caseload of 20 youth.

Plans and Aligns Group Mentoring Growth:

  • Drives plans for regional growth of group mentoring program, including new cohort in St. Charles.
  • Identifies and develops opportunities with schools for expansion of group mentoring program.
  • Participates in the hiring of New Group Mentoring Managers

Development of Group Mentoring Policies, Procedures and Outcomes:

  • Work with Chief Partnership Officer and Group Mentoring Managers to create policies and procedures that support group mentoring program.
  • Determine and monitor the outcomes and impacts tracked on a quarterly basis.
  • Establish process for utilization of agency database for documentation of work.

Collaborates for development of Group Mentoring Model:

  • Marketing and Communications for development of materials related to program.
  • Enrollment for partnership in interview process for youth, families and mentors.
  • School partners to gain feedback on best practices and areas of improvement to group mentoring model.



EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree; Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar field; or a minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar field required.
  • Experience in child development and/or case management preferred.
  • Experience working with adult populations, specifically Parents/Caregivers & Volunteers.
  • Experience working with a diverse population.

Qualifications

  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including written communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with a variety of staff, volunteers & families
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Technology/computer skills needed. Proficient in the following platforms: MS Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, & Teams); Outlook, & Zoom.
  • Flexible work hours to meet the needs of youth, families, and volunteers, including nights and weekends.
  • Home & school visits are a required part of the job.
  • Must have car, valid driver's license, and meet state-required automobile insurance minimums.

Compensations and Benefits

Salary will be based upon professional and academic experience (salary range - $47,000-$53,000).

Annual raises based on performance, culture and agency's ability.
