Position: Event and Marketing Campaign Coordinator
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri is a growing organization and always focused on taking the best care of its many constituents. It is one of the largest affiliates in the nation, and for over 6 years is awarded as a leader in quality service. It focuses its services on youth ages 5-25. Our Mission: We partner with young people in their pursuit of a meaningful, stable, and independent life.
POSITION PURPOSE: The primary goal of this position is to successfully plan, drive and execute assigned projects to advance volunteer recruitment and fund development efforts. This role also oversees events at BBBSEMO's Anew event space. Requires strong communication and relationship-building skills, exceptional organizational and project management skills, and a high degree of creative thinking. This role supports all agency efforts of marketing and communications including working with colleagues inside and outside the department.
Core Job Responsibilities |
EVENT AND CAMPAIGN COORDINATION · Organize and execute campaigns & events.
* This position is not responsible for personally soliciting donations. ASSIST WITH DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS · Coordination of Email Lists and Distribution o Update email subscribers and various audiences as needed. o Assist with building and sending monthly email newsletter. · Coordination of Social Media o Schedule social media posts to the various marketing platforms. o Respond to social media messages and shared posts. ANEW EVENT SPACE · Manage external events and logistics. (approximately 6/year) o Provide tours, assist with contracts and scheduling. o Assist with booking security and floor plan setup. · Assist with internal events. o Assist with calendars and scheduling. o Work with staff host on pre and post duties. |
EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE |
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ● Bachelor's degree preferred; significant work experience can substitute for the degree ● Knowledge of planning, marketing, communications, social media, budgeting ● Knowledge of computers and relevant software ● Knowledge of customer service principles and practices QUALIFICATIONS ● Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision ● Strong planning and organization skills ● Fantastic customer service ● Excellent communication skills, including writing skills ● Ability to manage multiple projects and work with a variety of staff and volunteers ● Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone |
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
· Technology/computer skills needed. Proficient in the following platforms: MS Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, & Teams); Outlook, & Zoom · Digital platform skills desired: Email Distribution, Social Media Schedulers, Canva · Flexible work hours to meet the needs of schools, team members and community leaders/organizations including nights and weekends. · Must have car, valid driver's license, and meet state required automobile insurance minimums |

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary will be based upon professional and academic experience (salary range - $40,000-$43,000)
- Immediate and 100% coverage on health and dental insurance.
- Life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance following the first ninety days of employment.
- Hybrid work schedule.
- 401(k) – 3% match per year following first year of employment.
- .625 cents reimbursement on business miles; 100% of out of office parking for business meetings, etc.50% contribution toward daily parking in covered garage (employee covers approximately $32.00 per month).
- After 90 days staff will receive 5 days of paid vacation and 10 days of paid vacation after one year of service.
- Accrue 1 day per month of sick leave (can also be used for family illnesses) – can carry up to 30 days of sick leave.
- 2 personal days per year following the first ninety days of employment.
- Annual raises based on performance, culture and agency's ability.
- 11 paid holidays.
